Construction industry is vastly different to manufacturing where nobody has experienced, seen or done a similar job previously. What is under the soil or what might come ahead in an open space is always unknown. Beneath a set of drawings, there lies so many men, material, processes and activities that need to be well planned and organized or might result in a different product.

Lean concepts strive to maximize value and minimize waste, focusing on improving processes and deliver optimized value. Lean construction seeks to optimize project delivery by eliminating waste and continuous improvement, through collaboration, communication and integration of all stakeholders. It reduces downtime waiting for materials, equipment and information while rooting out inefficiencies from processes.
